Braun Scandinavia A/S has been sold to the Dutch company Duo-Med Group.
Braun Scandinavia is a Scandinavian trading company that has experienced significant growth over the last five years.
The company specializes in gastroenterology products, including products for gastrointestinal endoscopy, which relate to endoscopic examinations and gastrointestinal surgery. The products include endoscopes, instruments, operating lights (capital goods), and consumables/disposables, the latter being the largest part of the revenue.
Braun Scandinavia’s customers are hospitals and specialist doctors in Denmark and Sweden. Duomed has purchased Braun Scandinavia to further develop the company in the Scandinavian market, where significant growth opportunities exist. Braun Scandinavia has 13 employees and had a profit before tax of 24 MDKK in 2016.
Duo-Med Group is a Dutch medico company, which pt. operates within the Benelux. The acquisition of Braun Scandinavia is to be seen in connection with a new strategy to cover a larger part of Europe.
Sesam Partners advised the seller and implemented a structured sales process with a number of interested buyers from Denmark, Belgium, England, The Netherlands, Norway and Sweden.
