Materielhuset A/S, headquartered in Havdrup, Zealand, supplies scaffolding in aluminium and steel, ladders and construction site fences to wholesalers and rental companies in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland and the Faroe Islands. In addition, the company has a factory in Jutland manufacturing their own wooden gratings, as well as sales offices in both Falkenberg and Gothenburg, Sweden. Materielhuset has in 2018 an EBITDA of DKK 12.5 million. It 10 employs 10 people.
The managing director of the company Tommy Ulrich continues in the new set-up as Sales Director and Shareholder, while the founder and major shareholder Finn Paulsen resign from the day-to-day operations, but continues as chairman of both companies.
Profil Værktøj A/S supplies cutting tools for wood punches, tooling centers, craftsmen and grinderies primarily in Denmark. Profil Værktøj is owned by Kasper Christensen and two employees. In connection with the acquisition, Tommy Ulrich and Profil Værktøj’s former owner, Torben Sørensen will enter as new shareholders. Torben Sørensen will also join as purchasing and project manager. Profil Værktøj wishes with the acquisition to become a broader supplier to the sector, and hopes that the Materielhus set-up can bring Profil Tools into other Nordic markets.
Jyske Bank has funded the acquisition of Profil Tools.
Sesam Partners advised the seller and implemented a structured sales process with a number of interested buyers from Denmark, Scotland, Holland, Norway and Sweden.
The sale was completed in less than 3 months.
